In this talk, I will describe some of the recent progress in large-scale phylogenetics. Sheri Fritz, Willa Cather Professor in the Department of Geosciences and School of Biological Sciences, will discuss how she and her colleagues use lake mud to reconstruct the history of climate change and how humans have impacted the environment. A reception follows the lecture.
