Erin Thie | Senior Communication Studies
Employed by the Arts & Sciences Advising Center

Ovation for October is for Erin Thie, a senior Communication Studies major working in the A&S Advising Center. As her nominations say, "Erin has been a student adviser in the Arts & Sciences Advising Center since the summer of 2004. Erin is an outstanding source of knowledge for UNL students. I am constantly impressed by Erin's patience and compassion when working with students. She uses her excellent communication skills to break down information and make things easy to understand. Erin is also very supportive of her fellow student advisers. She always has a positive attitude creating a pleasant office atmosphere. Erin carries herself professionally in all aspects of her position. She is an excellent representative for both UNL and the Arts & Sciences Advising Center... I have watched Erin deal with difficult situations and she always remains calm, cool, and collected. She has pitched in without complaint during short-staffed times while remaining focused on providing excellent customer service. She is a dedicated student and employee who personifies the great student workers we have in the Advising Center. We will be sad to see her graduate in December and leave us, but we know that she has left our office a much sunnier, happier place!...
