Our Ovation for January goes out to Carrie Munsell, Advertising junior working in the Dean's Office. As her nominations say, "Carrie Munsell came to us in August. It did not take her long to fit into our office. In the short time that she has been in the Dean's Office, she has learned her own responsibilities and has taken on projects that go beyond her position. When she completes her duties, she goes to others to see if they have work for her to do. She also takes the initiative and finds things without asking that she could do for others, including helping her co-student worker with the mail run on busy days. The Dean's Office staff is already comfortable with having her "hold down the office" while we are in meetings. We are also very comfortable giving her some of our job assignments. We know that the job will get done and will be done correctly. Carrie would be an excellent choice for the Ovation Award. She has accomplished so much in such a short time with us. This award would reward her initial success and encourage her to continue her efforts.

"Carrie goes above and beyond expectations on any task given to her to do. She requires a minimum of instruction and there is never any worry about a job being done right. She never complains about any task assigned no matter how menial. She can be counted on to take initiative to do things that need to be done like making sure the copier or printer has plenty of paper. Once she has run out of her own ideas of things to do she asks to be sure there are no other projects she can help out with. She is without a doubt the best student worker I have worked with in my time in the Dean's Office."
