Kimberly Funk | Psychology major
Employed by Communication Studies
Our Ovation for October goes out to Kimberly Funk. As her nominations say, "It is without any hesitation that I nominate Kimberly Funk a senior Psychology major working for Communication Studies since August 2003, for an Ovation Award. Kim is a bright, creative, quiet young lady who is invaluable to the department. Kim carries out the assignments given to her with very little supervision. She is very reliable and trustworthy and we often ask her to watch the office when both of the regular office staff is required to be out of the office. Kim has been with us since she started as a student here at the University and we have watched her grow not only personally but professionally. Kim is one of those students that we will be talking about years from now as the exemplary student worker and a model for other students to aspire too. She will be greatly missed upon her graduation in December, 2006...
"She is consistently helpful, willing to serve, and eager to help
with any number of projects... She is thorough and careful, and I trust
her to do a detailed and precise job... She has demonstrated that she
can get a 4.0 gpa and strives consistently to get good grades, has been
on the Dean's list (Fall 2004) and has been awarded a special award or
two from her "major" department (Psychology). I believe they
recognized her for her work and grades. She has been a loyal 4 year employee
and always has a good attitude and is always willing to work on whatever
project comes across her desk and does it well. She helped Dr. Kathy Krone
catalogue and tally a huge list of recommended works which evolved into
a 5 volume reference of "Major Works in Organizational Communication"
published by Sage Publications-London this past Spring 2006. She put in
countless hours working on this project... She is a delight!"
