John Roy | Psychology major
Employed by the Psychology Department

Our Ovation for November goes out to John Roy, senior Psychology major, working in Psychology. As his nominations say, "On August 3, 2006, I had the pleasure of becoming a part of the Psychology department at which time started working with John. John has been one of the most informed student workers I've ever had the opportunity of working with at the University. John is knowledgeable regarding office procedures and protocol, responsible for assisting faculty members and grad students with their various requests. John is very courteous, trustworthy, and dependable. John assists the department's office staff with a variety of tasks including short notice requests i.e., deliveries, copies, recycling and moving furniture. Worry has become a feeling of the past with John devoting his best for us. John has also been given additional responsibilities such as webpage management and scheduling of student workers. I consider myself truly blessed with having such a studious person on my staff. Its students like John that gives us hope for our future and he makes us proud to know that the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be a vital part of his destiny."

"John Roy has been a stellar student worker in our department. He is consistently dependable, responsible, and professional in completing his duties. John is insightful and learns quickly, and is very capable at the wide variety of duties he assumes. He answers the phone, helps walk in visitors in need, scans and copies documents, assembles and moves furniture, creates signs and documents needed, and many, many other tasks. Our main office can be a hectic, busy place to be at times, and even through the occasional chaos John stays patient, calm, and helpful. I greatly value his contributions and hope he continues to work for us until he graduates!"
