Michael Dozler | Political Science and History major
Employed by Advising Center and History Department
Our Ovation goes out to Michael Dozler, senior Political Science and History major, working in the Arts & Sciences Advising Center and in History. As his nominations say, "Michael has been part of the office for 3 years. I have only had the privilege of working with Michael for a year, but in that year I have been amazed and astounded at his vast knowledge of curriculum requirements and college procedures. He serves the students in a way that adequately provides them with the information necessary without using jargon that they don't understand. As a peer adviser, he is able to be relatable while still guiding students to decisions that will better their educational experience. Michael is hard working and will go above and beyond his duties to help lighten the load for the office as a whole, even if that means attending to tasks that are not part of is expected in his day-to-day. He is a delight to have in the office and a pleasure to work with...
"Michael advises with pazazz! In addition to being a very successful student with double majors in Political Science and History, Michael participates in UCARE and works 20 hours per week in the Advising Center. He participates frequently and fearlessly in staff discussions and genuinely works to make the Advising Center a friendly and helpful place. I have worked with Michael for several years now, and in those years I've seen him work harder and harder to expedite processes, revamp forms, and serve students. I think Michael deserves a standing ovation for sticking with the Advising Center during our recent changes, and for helping to make the Advising Center great!..."
