Why you chose your major

I chose my major because of my interest in science, and I chose my minor based of my interest in the perspectives, cultures, and histories of minoritized people of color.

Favorite and/or most impactful course

ENG 150 had the biggest impact on me because the course and instructor are what led me to minoring in ethnic studies.

Research or internship experience

A research experience I've had took place over the summer, and I researched the impact of claudin proteins within acute pancreatitis.

Other involvement

I am Vice President of a campus organization called Global Medical Brigades. Our organization focuses on providing shadowing opportunities and insights within areas of specialization towards students pursuing a career in healthcare.

Why you chose Nebraska

I chose Nebraska to be close to home.
