Chemistry Resource Center

The Chemistry Resource Center aids undergraduate students with learning general chemistry. Assistance offered for Chemistry, 109, 110, 111, 113, 251. The Resource Center website has important contact information, hours of availability, and previously used tests from the courses listed above. -
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), University Health Center

The multiculturally and professionally diverse staff at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) consists of psychologists, social workers, counselors and psychiatrists who are available to respond to a broad spectrum of concerns and issues. A confidential on-line screening is available in the areas of depression, eating disorders and alcohol use. CAPS also offers psychotherapy and psycho-educational groups. CAPS offers psychological counseling and educational services for:- anxiety

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally Programs and Services

The Ally program provides a "safe space" for LGBTQA students, provides relevant resources & referrals, delivers educational "Safe Space" workshops & panels for the university community, supports & provides follow-up services to those who have experienced discrimination/harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. -
Math Resource Center

The Mathematics Resource Center is the primary facility for undergraduate students who have questions related to any precalculus or calculus course offered by the department. Students can ask for assistance with the following Math courses: 100A, 101, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, and 108H. The Center also provides an excellent location for students to meet and work together on assignments or group projects. The Center is be staffed by Graduate Teaching Assistants and by undergraduate Math Majors hired specifically for the Center. -
OASIS (Office of Academic Support and Intercultural Services)

Office of Academic Support and Intercultural Services (OASIS) supports all UNL students, although it places an emphasis on supporting students of color - giving them and minority student organizations an opportunity to be in a familiar environment. It provides student staff and Program Coordinators who are familiar with the special needs of students of color on a predominantly white campus. OASIS offers an array of programs to help students successfully complete their education. These programs aim at developing not only the scholastic abilities but the overall personality of the student helping them to face the challenges positively and proactively. -
Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)

UNL Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) provides special assistance to students with disabilities through individualized help and counseling. Adjusting to college life and its academic demands is a new experience. SSD is committed to providing students with disabilities with the support that will enable them to confront challenges and reach their academic goals. -
STAR Center

The STAR Center (Satellite Tutoring and Advising Resources Center) is a joint effort between the Office of Undergraduate Studies and Housing to provide walk-in academic advising and tutoring services to students within the residence hall environment. Located in Sandoz Hall 118, students can drop in and talk to an academic adviser Tuesdays from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. -
Student Involvement

- NU Directions is a campus-community coalition which works to change the high-risk alcohol environment that surrounds the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
- Academic Service-Learning- ASL is a program that integrates community outreach with academic study and research. Courses that use Service-Learning as a component enrich the student’s knowledge of course material, increase self-awareness and civic responsibility, and foster UNL’s involvement within diverse local communities.
- Co-Curricular Service-Learning-Students can get more from their college experience through volunteering. You can connect with the community, make professional contacts, develop personal skills and interests, and learn about yourself in the process.

UNL Women’s Center

The mission of the Women's Center is to assist women with a successful, positive college experience, and to help everyone in the UNL community understand the changing roles of women and men. We have a library, a meeting room for discussion groups, and a lounge area for conversation, study or just relaxing. Anytime the Nebraska Union is open you can read the bulletin boards and peruse the pamphlet racks in the hall outside the Center. -
Writing Assistance Center

Writing Assistance Center (WAC) is a space for UNL students, faculty, and staff to work on their writing with experienced teachers. The WAC can assist writers in any stage of the writing process. WAC works with writers from any discipline (not just English), and also helps with special projects such as letters of application, resumes and cover letters, business writing, and creative writing. Appointments can be made for either 30 or 60 minutes. For hours, please see our Hours and Location page on the WAC website.
