Hi, my name is Jessi Agnew and I am a junior English/Pre-Law major. Being from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, I was a little nervous to be 8 hours away from home. Luckily, it's so easy to get involved on campus! I am currently involved with French Club and Pre-Law Club. Getting involved has helped me to meet so many great people and have lots of fun! Next summer I will be taking the opportunity to study abroad in France. The Lincoln community has also given me opportunities to get involved. As a legal assistant for a local Law Office, I have gained valuable experience while networking in the legal field. I also volunteer with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), which allows me to work in the legal field while helping children in the foster care system. With the boundless opportunities to get involved and have fun, I am proud that I chose to be a Husker! |

Hey there! My name is David Barmore, a sophomore Biological Science/Pre-Med student here at the University. It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year since I was a freshman making that much-anticipated move to Lincoln. College has definitely been a mind-blowing experience, especially coming from Lexington, a smaller town in Western Nebraska. Throughout my freshman year, I kept busy between studying for all my classes and being a member of my fraternity. I also decided to become involved in the some of the hundreds of organizations that Nebraska has for its students, which range from Pre-Dental Club to Student Government. Getting involved is a great way for you to meet new people and help voice your opinion throughout the campus. Have fun these next couple years here at Nebraska and make some memories that you won't soon forget! |

Hello all! I'm Chelsea Bloom, a senior Biological Science major following the Pre-Med track here at UNL. I grew up in the wonderful town of Fremont, Nebraska, so I'm close enough to go home for laundry emergencies, yet far enough away to be on my own. My time here has been such an amazing experience, and it's so hard to believe that I'm already half way done. While at school, I'm active in my sorority, the Honors Program, and the Health Aide Program, to name a few. This summer I kept busy as a CNA, working to gain medical experience (You can never get enough). My advice to you: whatever you do when you're here, LOVE IT, and get involved and stay that way. Your time here will fly by, and the more memories you make, the more you'll have to look back on later. |

Hello! My name is Bronson Boosalis and I am a junior Biological Sciences major from here in the great city of Lincoln, Nebraska. I am a pre-Med student who hopes to one day be an Ophthalmologist. Living in Lincoln my whole life definitely had an impact on my decision to attend UNL. The campus has an almost limitless number of opportunities to pursue any of your favorite activities. Being an Arts and Sciences Student Ambassador, volunteering through Asera Care Hospice, and holding a research position in the Biochemistry department are just a few of the many things that I love being involved with. I would recommend to all of you that you get involved with the things that you enjoy and remember that your experience at UNL isn't just school but an opportunity to shape yourself and enjoy one of the most meaningful times of your life. |

Hi there! Jack Huebner here. I am a senior Biology major from a speck on the map called Hershey, Nebraska. College is the best time in your life to broaden horizons and explore new things. I've spent a summer working in the Rocky Mountains, I've studied at Cedar Point Biological Station, and I've explored Lincoln as much as possible. While I'm at UNL, I spend much of my time with my time studying and staying involved on campus. I have minors in Math and English, I love to run and bike, and I hope to attend Dental school in the future. When I was selecting a college, I wanted a place large enough to provide countless opportunities, but also intimate enough to allow for rewarding relationships with fellow students and professors. There is so much to do at UNL, I've barely scratched the surface. I suggest you check it out. |

Hello there everyone! I'm David Lane, a junior here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am currently studying Political Science and Spanish and loving every minute of it. After I obtain my degrees I hope to enter law school, hopefully Nebraska! I am from a small town in northeast Nebraska known for its girl's basketball team - South Sioux City. Before attending UNL I thought college consisted of class, homework, and exams. Shortly after arriving on campus, I realized that my college experience was going to be quite different than I initially thought. Through the resources that UNL provides, I quickly discovered that there are numerous activities and groups available to satisfy any interest. Thanks to UNL, I am now involved in the Pre-Law Club, Mock Trial, the Parking Appeals Committee, and an on-campus job! We hope to see you make UNL your future school and home. |

Hi! My name is Carlos Lopez and my family has lived in many places ranging from Omaha, NE, Naples, Italy, Great Falls, MT and then we finally settled in Lincoln, NE. I attended a small High school of 100 students and as soon as I graduated I knew exactly where I wanted to go to school—the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. I'm currently in my third year here studying, Psychology and Computer Science and I'm hoping to pursue a career in law. I lived at home for my first two years and commuted back and forth to campus and until recently; became a Resident Assistant (RA) in Sandoz Hall. Some of my involvement on campus includes serving on the Judicial Board, Student Court, and last summer had an internship doing New Student Enrollment (NSE) for UNL's Office of Admissions. Go Big Red! |

Hey everyone! My name is Ashley Metzler, and I am currently a sophomore Psychology/Pre-Dental major from Omaha, NE. College so far has been such a great experience, and I believe that I wouldn't love it as much if it weren't for UNL. Here on campus there are so many ways to get involved and meet new people. Along with Student
Ambassadors, I am also a part of the Dental Club, my sorority, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Psy/Chi, and I also volunteer at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Being involved in different organizations has helped me to experience life outside of a classroom and realize that there's so much more to college. My advice for you is to come see for yourself all of the opportunities that this University has to offer. It is the perfect place to be; after all, there is no place like Nebraska! |

Hey! My name is Spencer Meyer. I am a senior Biology major with an interest in Pre-Med. I come from a small town called Minden, Nebraska. My decision to come to UNL was an easy one. I have always loved the University of Nebraska for its great traditions and its friendly atmosphere. Outside of my studies, I participate in several organizations which include my fraternity, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Pheasants Forever, Biology Club, Navigators, along with several more. Getting involved is an easy way to meet people and succeed in life. This university has helped me to grow in all aspects of life, from the wonderful education I'm receiving, to the life long friends I've made. I hope you take advantage of all UNL has to offer. |

Hola! My name is Trevor Nieveen and I am a junior Spanish major. I hail from a small town right outside of Lincoln named Hickman and love it here at UNL. I have had the opportunity to get involved in NU Connections (a diversity group), my fraternity, Dance Marathon, Chancellor's Leadership Class, and I studied abroad in Spain last summer. College is definitely a time for learning. However, the relationships I've formed, and the groups I've gotten involved in have helped me learn and grow just as much, if not more so, than my time spent studying. While your studies should definitely be your top priority, take advantage of the opportunities to get involved and experience new cultures and people! I know you won't regret it! |

Greetings! I'm Kallie Schneider, a senior Biological Sciences/Pre-Med major from Paxton, Nebraska. Growing up on a farm/ranch in western Nebraska and graduating from high school with a staggering class of 22, college was a major transition for me. I've found that the best way to find your own place here at the university is to get involved! Whether it be through my involvement with the College of Arts and Sciences, my sorority, NU Meds-a pre-professional club here on campus, the Honors Program, or NU Start-a program for incoming freshman, I've met so many people who share my goals and interests and make this large campus feel a little more like the hometown I left behind. I hope you, too, find that welcoming feeling here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! |

Hi! My name is Kody Silva and I am a senior Psychology and Political Science major from Early, Texas. I am also classified as a Pre-Law student here at the university. As an out-of-state student, I was a little afraid of being so far from home, but the atmosphere here at UNL has become a home of its own. I have enjoyed the many opportunities to get involved on campus through participating in organizations such as Pre-Law Club and Italian Club. Also, I am currently involved in UCARE (Undergraduate Creative Activities & Research Experience) program running research with a Law/Psych professor on stereotypes in the legal system. These activities have helped me meet other students interested in the same areas that I am, making Nebraska my "home away from home." |

Hey ya'll! My name is Sarah Spies. I am a junior Russian major with a double minor in Political Science and Environmental Studies accompanied by a Public Policy Certificate. As an out-of-state student from Charleston, South Carolina I have taken advantage of many of the opportunities the university has to offer, such as the ample organizations ranging in all diversities. I came to UNL not knowing a single person; however I quickly got involved with organizations like Student Alumni, Husker Away from Home, Alpha Scholars Learning Community, College of Arts & Sciences Student Ambassador Program and Air Force ROTC. These organizations have become communities that have helped make Lincoln and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln a pleasant "home away from home"! |

Hi! My name is Tony Tabatabai, a senior Biochemistry/Pre-Medicine major from Lincoln, NE. The University of Nebraska has given me many opportunities as a college student to further my knowledge and become involved in many aspects of the community. I hope to utilize these experiences at UNL to propel me through medical school and my future endeavors. I spend most of my time studying, volunteering at both the Bryan LGH Emergency Room and the Nebraska Library Commission, Student Ambassador for the college of Arts & Sciences, NU Meds, and Pre-Health Club. This point in your life is a chance to make an impact not only on the campus at UNL, but the community of Lincoln. Take advantage of the endless opportunities that await you at UNL! Good luck, and I hope to see you around campus. |

Hi all! My name is Stephanie Wulff and I am a sophomore Biological Sciences major here at UNL. It's my second year in the Honors Program as well. Now, I don't know if you were/are like me, but as a freshman I wasn't entirely sure of all that UNL had to offer, or for that matter what I wanted to do with my life. I began busting out of my shell, though, and became active in Harper/Schramm/Smith government, played some intense intramural volleyball, and experienced some amazing performances at the Lied Center and Kimball Recital Hall. I had a blast and met some lifetime friends along the way! I also made an effort to get to know the Arts & Sciences Advisors who eventually helped me to discover that I want to be Physician Assistant in the future! By exploring my resources and activities here on campus, I've truly made UNL feel like home. |
